1908  Eaton Memorial Library at Tuffs University with Beverly Sedgewick now houses the Departments of Anthropology and Sociology, Classics, Political Science, and the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies. The reading room is used as a computer lab, and most of the main floor rooms are used as classrooms.

Charles Pardee, rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, here at a wedding celebrated in that church at noon to-day, when Miss Emily Harrison Thorpe, daughter of Elbert Gallatin Thorpe, of New York, was married to Henry Davis Whitfield, also of New York.  The maid of honor was Miss Mildred Stinson of Dedham, Mass., and L. P. Corbin of Chicago was best man.  Later a reception was held at the home of the bride’s brother-in-law, Robert Gordon Butler of Charlton Avenue.  The couple will reside in New York.” [The New York Times., April 26, 1902, Saturday, p.9,]
